I am applying to andover, choate and exeter and my ISEE scores are 99 for both math sections, and 80 for both english sections. Is this good enough to get in?
I also have a wide variety of sports, music and extracurriculars.
I’m applying to those three schools too! I got 99th for the SSAT. I made sure that I got a good score because I didn’t want my SSAT score to be the thing to hold me back. A lot of applicants get good scores these days. But I don’t know how much weight the 3 schools put into SSAT/ISEE. Personally, I think your scores are fine. I know people that got in with 80s percentile for english. Your math scores are amazing, so that’s good.
Could you describe some of your activities?
I have been learning piano for around 7 years now, and I have a level 5 ABRSM Piano certificate.
I am in our top Middle School Band and I play the clarinet
I have been in our middle school cross country team for three years.
I was in our robotics team and MUN Malaysia travel team.
The fact you are a foreign national gives you an edge. You are probably wealthy which also offers you an advantage as well. On the other hand much of what you have and what the school might suspect is that you may not have come to this decision to apply on your own and that your parents drove your decisionmaking. .
Good luck. Great Math scores.

I don’t know man. I’m an Exeter student and most people here got 85+ in every section of their SSAT. Personally, I was 96th SSAT percentile (99 verbal, 96 reading, 83 math). So your scores are close to the range, but it certainly won’t help you, as many applicants are in the 90+ range.
Also, is there a way to calculate your overall ISEE percentile, even though it doesn’t say so on your score document?
A huge trend on these forums is to talk about your percentile rank, but my older siblings (both Hotchkiss alums) have told me repeatedly that your scale score carries the most weight. The average score at Exeter --I think?-- is around 2100 combined? Don’t quote me on that, lol
