Isn't it late for senior to prepare for ACT now?

My SAT score didn't come out well enough for me to apply to the colleges I want to go.
I have been preparing since July, but it seems like there's no solution for this.
One of my friends told me that I should try for ACT because people like me tend
to do well on ACT than SAT. I just want to know if what my frined told me is plausible because right now, if I start preparing for ACT without determined mind, the situation will be real hard for me to deal with.
Thanks guys

It’s never to late!

The ACT doesn’t take a lot of preparation if you take it at a higher grade level, which is when most people take it anyway. Most of it is stuff that you have already learned throughout your schooling. I took the ACT at the end of my Junior year and it only took about a week for me to brush up on everything and take a few practice tests. I scored a 30. So to answer your question, no, it is not too late to review for the test. In a way, it can actually be too early if you haven’t been exposed to some of what is on it. That is mostly the math portion though. So you should be just fine.
