I have just finished junior year, and I have been studying for the ACT all year. In Feb I got a 27, in April I got a 27, and now in June I got a 26. I really want to get over a 30. Is it too late for me to switch to the SAT and then try it out in September or is that pushing it too late? What is the best solution?
That would be fine. Try the SAT. It seems like your studying for the ACT isn’t helping much.
How are your grades?
Three tries means you are unlikely to improve on the ACT. Whether you need to take SAT depends on college choices. There are large numbers of colleges where your current ACT score would be fine, but for any higher ranks it is low; also even if looking at colleges ranked mid-level or lower, the score is unlikely to be enough to get scholarship money if seeking that. Assuming you will be taking the SAT, it is in October not September and October tests are usually fine for all regular decison applications and even for early action or early decision.
my grades are pretty good, but now I’ve decied to just continue studying ACT. Is there a chance of actually raising my score from a 27 to over a 30? What is the more efficient studying method. I also got this prepscholar program…does anyone know if it is any good?
Why would it be too late to take the SAT? The normal time to take it is fall of senior year.
There’s no such thing as a Sept SAT test date. The earliest one in the fall is always Oct.
