It is bad to start a personal statement with a quote?

It it always too cliche to start my personal statement with a quote? I feel like the one I have in my essay is definitely relevant, but I keep reading places that its not a good idea. Any thoughts?
This is the quote I'm using

“It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.”
Albert Einstein

Yes, it’s a bad idea.

I think it runs the risk of you being seen as arrogant…comparing yourself to Einstein and all. I mean you might be but that’s definitely not something I would say when first meeting someone.

I say in the next sentence that I am not comparing myself to his smarts, just that I have the trait of being able to stick with a problem, but I see what you are saying. I guess I’m not going to use it.
Thanks
