Jazz is like "I’m gonna put minimal effort into entertaining this puppy, so don’t expect me to leave my comfy seat.’
So does the fur baby have a name yet?
Louie, for Louis Armstrong. A CC friend suggested it and it seemed to fit him perfectly.
My 2 year old border collie girl and 1.5 year old border collie mix boy. They’re sad they can’t go outside and bark at the horses.
To paraphrase the late great Elvis Presley, “a little less conversation, and a lot more doggie pix”!
I love all of our beloved doggo pictures and would love to see more.
This thread ranks as one of my favorite threads of all time, CC or otherwise!
I have no dogs to contribute but agree this thread is full of love and a lot of adorable photos of beloved family members.
I think it’s amazing how much that breed looks like tri-color Aussies. So many times we are asked if our dog is a Bernese. So cute!!
This was our Berner boy. He crossed the rainbow bridge in 2018. They are the sweetest dogs. Those little brown eyebrows will get you every time.
I adore herding dogs! To me, a smart, well-trained border collie is the ultimate dog (I just don’t have quite the energy and space to do one justice). Watching border collies at work in Scotland was a highlight of my life, truly.
As a cat person, I’ve embraced dogs late in life (have only had two) and both were on the small side. I’d love a larger dog, but hoisting my last dog up and down stairs in her last years made me realize as I age that I probably shouldn’t have a dog I couldn’t carry. I’ve recently become aware of a new breed…the miniature American shepherd, which looks and acts something like a very small border collie or aussie! While I’ll probably end up with another shelter mutt one day, I’m going to be looking into this breed!
Looks like you are going to have your hands full but he’s adorable!
@MaineLonghorn : Your baby is beautiful. Here’s mine, when she was just a wee girl:
Oh, what a sweetheart!
My scruffy pup!
Adorable
Thanks! Winnie was rescued from a high-kill shelter at only four months old. We were told she was minutes away from being euthanized. We adopted her two months later, and now she is eight and still puppy-like (but a little feisty). She’s got wired-haired dachshund, bichon and some kind of terrier in her genes. She loves nothing more than walking in the neighborhood and flirting with anyone and everyone!
