Its a little early, but chance me?

<p>OK, Hi. Im new here, and was wondering if some people could chance me/tell me what i need to work on.
Schools: Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, Northeastern, UW Madison, and URI (hopefully a safety)</p>

<p>Stats about me: Will be a junior this september. Live in Rhode Island. And my high school is public, but i believe its pretty good rigorous wise.
Classes I've taken (school doesnt give a lot of options due to graduation requirements):
9th grade: Honors geometry, honors english, honors earth science, honors world history, concert band, PE/health, french 2, and tech readiness</p>

<p>10th grade: Honors Algebra 2, honors american lit, honors bio, honors US1, PE/Health, Spanish 1, Foundations of art and design, HOnors Symphonic band</p>

<p>all grades were in the A range
Current rank 10/400 weighted GPA 3.875/4</p>

<p>Junior schedule(need another half credit class, but guidance hasnt given me one yet): HOnors pre calc, honors chemistry, honors british lit, AP USHistory, PE/Health, Honors Symphonic Band, Music Theory 1, Democracy</p>

<p>I was just admitted into National Honors Society</p>

<p>EC/Sports volunteering etc:
Varsity Gymnastics (9th grade) Most Improved award, coaches award
JV SOftball (9th Grade)
Fall/Winter Cheerleading (10th) most improved award
Percussion ensemble (10th)
Jr. Jazz band (9th, 10th)
Volunteering: Summer Band ~ 40 hrs Rec Gymnastics 10 hrs
adding more volunteering very soon
I know I dont have much or ECs but i am trying to find ones that i will like and stick with this year</p>

<p>Other awards/things not done in highschool years:
10 yrs of gymnastics, 7 years of rec softball
Science Olympiad (middle school came in 2nd place both yrs and its not offered by my highschool)
Middle school softball 2 yrs
Principal Honors all through middle school and high school
Musical effort award 9th and 10th
Directors award for band in 8th
Percussion ensemble in 8th
Middle school jazz 7th, 8th</p>

<p>I havent taken psats or sats, although i took an online practice and got a 1590 which i know needs to be improved greatly</p>

<p>and thats all, i think</p>

<p>please chance me if you can, its greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>oh i dont know if it matters but im thinking of majoring in Chem with mayb a maj or minor in music</p>

<p>YoIll need to bring your sat up like 600 points. Also consider the ACT. If you can score well on a std test, I’d say you have a competitive shot.</p>

<p>yeah i definatly need to bring up sat scores or score well on the act. I can try to get into another ap but my school usually only has 1 class for each subject and a very uncoordinated guidance department (the have put kids into 4 freshman english classes for one semester and random things like that)</p>

<p>You will need to need to bring up your test scores a lot, and find some unique ECs, especially for the Ivys. </p>

<p>i have an idea for a unique ec i just have to ask my school how to start a club :slight_smile: and yes when i take the real sat i need a higher score</p>
