It's getting closer!

I do believe 25 days is more than 3 weeks. :)

lol, sorry about that. I meant 4 weeks, but I guess I put 3 weeks in there since I was thinking that it is a little more than 3 weeks now. Thanks for catching that, Bluemer. ;)

w00t!! 25 days till I'll have people doing my trash for me and greeting me in the halls. :) How time flies. I've started the summer period. I am currently in a single man room on the 5th floor of Sijan waiting for jump to start Monday. Listening to music, hanging with all my classmates/friends (we are the only ones in this part of Sijan), and enjoying the nice weather. Look forward to the good times to come!

I'm sitting here on the 6th floor of Sijan tower wondering when I'm leaving for Germany...they still havent told us, but i'm pretty sure it's sometime tommorrow.

Now, now, Hornetguy, don't get TOO excited, it's still more than 25 days, we're not allowed to interact with them until Acceptance Day- THEN we can all celebrate (and feel slightly bad for tem at the same time...)

Enjoy your last three weeks as free men/women!! And good luck during Basic everyone, I hope to see all of you here on Acceptance Day!

Im sitting at home... waiting til graduation, the 11th...

Is germany an ops air force trip or something else?

Yeah, it's for Ops-Ramstein AB. And somehow, I STILL don't know anything about what is going on with it...

sweet, the 11th is my birthday!

Its sometime tomorrow and they still didnt say anything??... 'did you get the memo?' lol that stinks...

thats cool, happy birthday! ...almost

Well happy almost birthday runner. What kind of work outs will you be doing over the summer. Germany is a fun place to run. They have all those paved biking trails and they actually have quite a few track meets over there. They also have some road races over there. Enter some and kick some local butt and make a name for your self on the roads over there! Good luck! And the climate should be a little cooler over there. At least it was when I was there. I think a lot more locals wear puma and adidas over there.

lol, hornetguy, you're already looking forward to having some "Doulos" 4-digs around. Which squadron are you going to be in again?... ;)

Patriot, you'll have to let us know how Germany is. When will you get back? And what do all the 3-digs do while us Basics are training? Do you guys have multiple trips during the summer semester?

Hornet's in Tiger Ten now. While we have BCT, the 3 digs are off doing fun stuff like jump/soaring. A lot of their summer is spent at the Academy, but they do get two trips this semester - one for Ops and one for leave.

Ok, that's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Thanks, PETKO.

I leave for Leave (no pun intended) on June 23rd, then return and fly to Ops in Arizona on July 13th. I will be enjoying myself. ;) :)

As PETKO said, I will be in Tiger Ten, which is Cobras B-flight in BCT. If you are so lucky as to fall into my squad, never fear, for I bring candy and phone time when we meet in August. ;) While I like to rag on yall, I am not actually a sadistic training person. If I ever train you, it will be productive and you should feel good about it. And in the squad, I will be someone you can come to for help without feeling odd. Plus, I will be the main conduit between my class and yours in my position. So, I look forward to seeing everyone in August (except redhead of course). jkjk!

I start jump class tomorrow morning bright an early, first jump on Thursday. I'm psyched!

And I am in my last year as a teenager as of May 29. :)

Cool, are you going to Luke for Ops??

I like that training ideal, one that a lot of people could look up to... what exactly is your position?

I am going to Davis-Monthan which is even more awesome! My bed and breakfast sponsor dad was the commander of the 12th air force a couple years ago, so he gave me some contacts in the command building. :)

I will be Chief Clerk in Tiger Ten next year which is the highest 3 degree position (my class rep as well). So, I am in charge of my class pretty much.

Now off to class!

Ahh, personal contacts. They are definitely important. ;)

"Chief Clerk". Cool. So, are you saying you're in charge of your entire class next semester, or just those of your class in your squad? Either way, that's pretty cool.

Each squadron has a Chief Clerk, who is responsible basically for organizing stuff for the 3 degree class in that squad - so they handle things like CQ duties for the 3 degree class, among other things.

Have any of you guys gotten the Cadet insurance from USAA, that allows for protection against damaged/stolen/etc.. goods? If so do you remember when it becomes availble b/c I would really like to get it.

I have the USAA insurance, as well as many others. Inexpensive and easy. I love USAA.

just to let y'all know, i was on the usafa home intranet page that our internet starts too, looked at days til graduaiton, and they added the line:

"1457 days until Grad 2011"

thought you guys might get a kick out of it

whoo! i do actually, thanks eagle :)
