It's getting closer!

93 days till 1000s night!

finish 1460 of high school... start all over...

Aw, hornet, that's ok, I understand that you get crabby when you miss me. ;) Attention to everyone: when someone has to tell you that they're not a sadistic training person, the best thing to do is run in the other direction! haha

We are going to be in basic this month!!! :)

Not only will it begin this month, but in a little more than 3 weeks!

Chief Clerk... some one is gold-digging for a good MPA...

All you present cadets..any regrets about things that you didnt do before you left? Anything...physical..fun...stupid?? Just curious in case I have the chance.haha.

None. Visited friends, family, went to San Diego for a week with friends, and relaxed. Could have worked out more, but everything still worked out, so I have no regrets. :) Not long for y'all.

18 days.... I remember seeing redhead posting around 150 days out lol.... wow! its gone :) get up for it

I didn't work out enough, but other than that not really. I hung out with my friends and family and enjoyed a short summer.

15 days!!!

O redhead, so excited. It will really hit you when you wake up at your B&B sponsor family on I-day. only 2 weeks, wow. Hard to believe its been a year! Good luck all.

Best of luck, 2011. Make it YOUR summer. Basic sucks, but you'll look back on it with some great memories, and it only comes once...usually. :P

Me? Excited? Noooo... haha :) So since we only have 2 weeks left, we should start the real countdown!

14 days!!!

starts hyperventilating nah, just kidding :P
This is probably a dumb question, but how are we assigned to our basic squadrons? Do they just take people off the bus and say "hey you all you're a squadron, have fun"? Or are we actually assigned?

I'm pretty sure its kinda like you said, off the bus and yeah. But it's somewhat random I guess, then those squadrons determine our wing squadrons after acceptance.

You will be told your summer squadron (although not your flight) when you start the process in Doolittle Hall. Don't worry...you'll know who you're with. :)

So we're not going to be with the people we sit with on the bus, or what?

No. Unless something changes, who you are with on the bus has no significance. Usually...sometimes you could end up next to someone in your flight, but it's pure coincidence.

its all already assigned to you. and at a desk before you start to inprocess, they will actually tell you your basic squadron, and your school year squadron if you ask, which you can then use to determine which flight you are if you so choose.

the next to me on my flight ended up in my squad, as did a kid i met on a cruise 3 weeks before basic... small world
