It's OFFICIAL - Tulane Class of 2018!

It's actually been official since we returned home from March Scholars Weekend, but I haven't had time to post and share my exciting news! My mom's been ill and I've been travelling back and forth between Maryland and Florida, all the while trying to keep D (with her tragic case of senior-itis) engaged so that she'll actually graduate! (I'm exaggerating, but only slightly!)

Just "in case," I waited a few weeks to contact the other 8 schools to let them know D would not be attending. But, not a speck of "buyer's remorse." In fact, the excitement seems to be building exponentially. We wake up each day feeling like we won the lottery!

Within weeks, D found her dream roommate in the TU Class of 2018 Facebook group, and they're busy shopping for comforters and Keurigs when they should probably be focusing on AP Calc...but, it could be worse.

Thanks to everyone (ESPECIALLY FALLENCHEMIST!) for all the wisdom and hand-holding throughout this process! I hope to be an active member of this board for many years to come. Eventually, I'll be able to share wisdom of my own! #RollWave

Congratulations @cheermom20878‌ ! I just made the commitment deposit today so very happy to say that my son will be a member of the class of 2018 as well. Even though he had great schools to choose from, the choice was easy for him after his campus visit last week. I look forward to watching him grow as a Tulanian!

Congrats as well! Sounds like you will NOT be facing an empty nest? Will you be down to 5 kids, 2 boxers, and 1 cat? :)

@cheermom20878‌ and @6kids2boxers1cat‌ - Very exciting news! Congrats to you both and both of the students/children. Happy to have been of some very small measure of help. Look forward to seeing you both in the future on here, and hearing how they are doing as they embark on their Tulane career. Either of them planning on going to Orientation in June?

Congrats~ Maybe we can have a parents meet up doing move in!

My son will most likely be attending orientation in June. We are from Michigan so everything involves flights.
