I applied for SJSU last year and received a "provisional admission". Since it's "provisional" so I thought there should be an offical letter home somehow. And in my account the "to do list" always had "submit final transcript" (I sent more than 3 but sill had). So I thought I was not being admit becuase SJSU hadn't verified!! That's why I didn't reg for class and doing anything and whatever.......
Then until yesterday I checked the application status it became "clear admit", BUT!! I can't reg for class now cu's it's too late!!! I called SJSU and the guy said I'll need to reapply for fall2012.
-_- But if so, I'll have more than 90 qrt units, will that be OK? To hv so many units can't transfer right???

:[ can someone help me pls? My conselors are all out -_- I hv to go to school everyday to see if m lucky enough to catch one…sigh T-T

Did you REALLY bump this a minute after you posted this topic? Honestly… first world problems. Why can’t today’s youth be proactive about such things.

So, you applied to this school…didn’t receive admission…and you went to CC in between? Am I reading this correctly? You could, you know, make the effort to make this coherent.

This might be harsh, but seriously, if you don’t slow down long enough to express yourself clearly (your first post is a garbled mess) or do not have the patience or ability to read the transfer site information that SJSU has made available online closely enough to understand the basic vocabulary/lingo used to govern and guide transfer students (for example, what “provisional” means in context), then you aren’t really ready to transfer.

CSUs don’t have a unit cap/limit for transfer students. They might only accept 70 or so units but the extra units are not counted against you. Do verify this information with actual official documents at SJSU, though.

And yes, SJSU and many other CSUs are very strict about missed deadlines, so you do need to reapply for Fall 2012. I recommend that you become an expert on the SJSU transfer process, read EVERY piece of information that SJSU has on its website about transfer, registration, etc. And ask questions to clarify. That way you will be ready this next time around.

Good luck.
