itsnt austin rolling admissions??

because apparently, it isnt for me

do only the super qualified people get responses in the "rolling sense?"
ordinary students get responses like, during when all the other schools respond, right??

hopefully not, becuase i already put the admission status thing in my favorites, and i check it everyday....

yea, the only people that are "rolling" are the people in texas in the top 10%..... the rest of us (unless you have an amazing SAT score or something really special) have to wait until about March.... i emailed the UT admissions....and they told me that everyone should have a letter in their hand by april, 1.....thats a little disappointing, i wish i didnt apply so soon....the longer i dont have a respones, the more im sure ill get rejected....

an earlier application benefits your chances though i think

I'm OOS, I applied Sept 19 with decent stats, and I'm probably not going to hear anything from them until April.

I didn't find out until nearly June. I wouldn't expect a letter until March/April.

Yes. I applied on November 30th and got my acceptance letter nine days later, but I was also in the top ten percent.

my friend applied from california with a 4.0 weighted gpa and 1380 SAT and got into biology about a week ago.

Damn, maybe I shouldnt have waited so long to apply!!!! Im mailing my app tomorrow, will waiting this long hurt me? Im not top 10% tho.

No, rolling admissions, I believe, is for top 10% applicants only. If you don't fit that category, or any of their other automatic acceptance categories, then your app will take longer.

well... thanks for the news, despite it being bad news, everyone

this sux!!

at least i have urbana champaign.... whew

I live in Ohio, applied December 1st, and got accepted today. I have really good scores though so they might have accepted me faster.

derekc, if you don't mind, what were your stats?

34 ACT, 780 Math, 760 verbal, 3.98 uw, 4.6 w, 800 on three SAT II's (Math II, Physics, Chem)

ho snap, good job dude
