IU Bloomington Acceptance.

I was just wondering my chances of getting into IU Bloomington with a 3.3 GPA as a full IB student and a SAT score of 1050?

Google IU’s “common data set” and look at section C where it posts the ranges of accepted students.

@adamseagle what are you wanting to major in? I would take the SAT again and try to get those scores up. Looking at the Common data Set looks like a better chance if your GPA is 3.5 or higher but probably could offset that with higher SAT scores.

I’m planning to major in pre law or pre med. Im hoping that being an International Baccalaureate student will help offset the lower GPA.

You cannot major in pre-law or pre-med. there are no such programs.

A 1050 makes IUB a reach

I mean those are going to the type of classes I’ll be working towards so i can get into law or med school. IUB does not just look at test scores they look at the types of classes you take and extracurricular too.

But a 1050 SAT score is still a negative on your profile.

I would worry about the difficulty of the courses if you were to get in. People with much higher stats get weeded out. I’ve seen Vals and Sals get weeded out.

For the incoming class of 2020 the average SAT score was 1223, with a mean GPA of 3.79.
