IU Early Action Acceptances - Class of 2025

We got one dated the day he got his Kelley email Dec 4, two days ago. Then we got a second letter, exact same, dated Dec 12, also two days ago. The letters were identical.

thats weird , you applied way before me… i submitted mine by oct 24 and i got a decision nov 5th i wonder why yours is taking so long

I know its very strange. im hoping to hear back today but it really sucks because I want to go

don’t worry about it you’ll probably hear from them soon, you still have till the 15th

I still haven’t heard back as well! I applied on the 29th of October. Just checked the portal today and it’s still the same. What did you email them asking? Should I email them as well?

Its getting very frustrating. I would just email them saying how interested you still are in attending the University.

Thanks @Mom2SandG - that makes me feel better. Son applied 10/31 early action and was admitted on 12/24, which was great, but he has the stats for direct Kelley admit (4.1 Weighted, 30 ACT) and has had good merit awards from some of his other schools, and yet we still wait on IU. Nothing since the 24th. The app status says pre-div business, so we are waiting on Kelley as well as the scholarship info.
He loves IU and probably has that #1 on his list if they give some money, but we can’t go there at full price. Your timeline of 2 weeks after the general acceptance lines up with us finding out soon, so that’s room for optimism.

You are a direct admit to Hutton with those stats.

Any idea when you should hear about Hutton? My son meets direct admit stats but hasn’t heard anything yet. It’s strange how IU does everything piecemeal.

My son just got the SSA email

Checked my portal and I just got admitted to IU! Applied to Kelley, it says an email should reach in the next week regarding admission, I am guessing that will include if I have been admitted to Kelley or not as the portal only says welcome to IU family, and no information regarding kelley

Good luck to him. My daughter told me today she has decided that she needs to start weeding down schools as she applied to a ton and she felt “more comfortable” at both South Carolina and College of Charleston so she’s removing IU. I would like to see if she can pull sufficient aid through SSA but she’s not going to submit. I just hope it’s not because she is uncomfortable asking for more letters of rec. I hope it’s for the reason she stated. All kids need to narrow down so it’s good in that sense. For someone who truly wants to study the languages, it does seem that IU is a great fit. And the campus is gorgeous as are the other two she preferred. Good luck to all.

Although applied in October, Just got SSA invite yesterday…after asking admissions about it. If you’re still waiting for SSA - you might want to reach out b/c it’s due for everyone Feb 1 - no matter when you get the invite to apply.

Received SSA email yesterday.

Applied 10/25
IU Acceptance 12/22

still waiting for Kelley email.

Congrats! You’ve been waiting here a while for that! FYI, the email to which they refer is a nothingburger, then it will take another week or two to get your envelope (which will include Merit) and Kelley admission will be 2-4 weeks from today and completely separate. It’s an a-la-carte process for some reason over there.

I applied to IU on 10/31 and I still haven’t heard back from the actual school let alone Kelley. I’m kinda worried now, because quite a few people from my school have heard back. I hope this doesn’t mean I’m rejected. Anyone else that hasn’t heard back?

Call ASAP. They have till the 15th btw.

I sent them an email and they said they will get back to me by the 15th latest. Wonder why it’s taking so long

Supposedly, there has been a November 1 backlog. Good luck!

Thanks! I really hope I get in.
