For the IU SSA application, do they also look at your general scholarship application essay? I wanted to just use the thing I wrote for the general one but I’m not sure
My sons essay was different from the general. It says you need both so I would make them different
My daughter’s crimson packet mentioned “Dean’s scholarship” and we got emails on Hutton Honors. You might want to call IU Admissions and check.

Intent to enroll deposit is needed too. I just paid that.
My son received an email on 11/6 stating he was a direct admit to Hutton Honors College.
Did you ever receive your sons IU envelope? We have the same dates — applied 10/31, accepted 12/22, but have still not received the IU envelope. I was teasing my son that maybe they changed their mind 
I called and they said they were delayed, but since we are now in February I am getting concerned. Housing opened yesterday and we have no idea about financial aid. Have you received anything?
We are OOS.
DD was accepted 12/8 and got her envelope 2 weeks ago. We are also OOS. I think they really just are that behind.

He finally received his on 1/26. Possibly the most anti-climatic moment of the college search process. The letter was dated 1/19, so definitely delayed. My son received a merit scholarship (for which we received a separate email in early January) but we didn’t apply for financial aid.
Did everyone receive their financial packages already? If so, how long after your acceptance letter did it come?
The financial aid package will come out sometime in February.

I still have my son check for the financial aid package everyday. If we are lucky his education will be paid for in full by IU. If that doesn’t come through then we are hoping that his tuition is covered. Paying for college isn’t easy and we all need some help. I hope that you get some help with financing your education and that you get to where you want to be. Good Luck to all of you.

Where can you see the total cost of attendance? Is that information available on the portal yet?

If not invited to complete the Selective Scholarship Application, is it still worthwhile to complete the General Application in the Scholarship App? The Opportunities seem very random and the idea of a required essay is not that exciting.
My guess is no. The SSA was due 2/1, so you may already be too late - I would check the website for details. Also your kid would be competing against all the SSA kids, who also had to complete the general scholarship application as part of the SSA.
Did anyone apply to Scholars Program and NOT get in…?
I do know that we did a virtual meeting with IU Indianapolis Scholars one night last week, and the lady from the Hutton Honors College was telling the kids how to apply if you weren’t a DA. She said it was taking a little bit of time to go through the requests, but that she was making progress. Hopefully you will hear soon.
I talked with an admission counselor today and she said financial aid packets will start coming out later this month.
