IU Early Action Acceptances - Class of 2025

Any aid, including merit, will begin to be posted in February on the financial aid portal based on when you applied. Initial Dean’s/Provost’s awards will be included in the crimson admissions packet if you qualify. The scholarships page is the place where you can do the General + SSA applications.

If you got Merit Aid, he would have gotten an email ~2 wks after his admission describing the scholarship. And it’s in the letter packet.

Anyone who is accepted but undecided putting down a housing deposit on Monday (Feb 1)?

My son is doing a Zoom with Hutton Honors tomorrow. After which we will probably put down the deposit. My oldest is a Kelley Grad and when he went in 2014 we waited to long and most of the prime housing was gone. He did get lucky when he got into the Kelley LLC. McNutt was a great location but it ended up having the mold issue which has since been repaired. IU has a five star campus and pretty good housing on campus. Good Luck

Is that the first day to do so? How does it work?

Thanks for the response James1963 and Jen136.

I received my acceptance on the 13th of Jan and have not yet received my financial aid package. How long does it usually take and does it only come through snailmail or email as well?

Also, do students paying the enrollment fee earlier receive a preference for housing?

Your financial aid package will be in your portal, sometime in February. With the housing deposit I would just think the earlier, the better. Congratulations and Good Luck

I applied 11/1 and heard back 12/11 with my acceptance. Also, I got direct admit to arts and sciences with a dean scholarship around a week later. Snail mail came in about 2 weeks. I applied with a 3.92 GPA, no test scores, and good activities. Planning on majoring in Psychology! Does anyone know if you get a snail mail package with scholarship info and direct admit? I havent yet so just wondering. Good luck everyon

My daughter applied 10/31, accepted 12/29, deans scholarship, SSA Invite. and Kelley direct admit a few weeks later.

Red envelop arrived yesterday 1/29.

You should get both. Congratulations and Good Luck

Has anyone that is direct Kelley admit got an email about the ACE program? Accepted or invited to apply? I’m wondering how many applicants there are for the 70 some spots?

I was invited as well. I’m guessing they invite around 100 and choose 75 or so for the program

Yes…doing exactly that. My son is fully committed but we’re moving forward with housing, including the deposit.

Do you also have to have the enrollment deposit paid? Or can you pay only the housing deposit?

You can pay only housing

When my daughter submitted her SSA application, she received a message that this application would be reviewed to determine eligibility for scholarships in the Hamilton Lugar School, Luddy School of Informatics and Honors College. She is a direct admit to both Hamilton Lugar and Luddy, but we never received any confirmation regarding her being accepted into the Honors College. Can we infer from this that she got in to the Honors College? Did others get different messages when they submitted the SSA material?

My son was accepted a few weeks ago direct admit to Kelley. The crimson packet that came in the mail didn’t mention any merit, so I assume he get that. However, he did apply for SSA and other scholarships. My question, where does the notification come to regarding any SSA award? It’s not really clear what we should be checking. Thanks.

If your son gets any other scholarships, it will show up in the Scholarship Portal and the Financial Aid Portal. I imagine that they will also email you as well. OneIu is a cumbersome website but you will eventually find out what you are looking for. Good Luck to your son.

As long as she met the requirements for the Honors College, then yes she is in. I’d still reach out to them and you might want to consider a Zoom meeting with one of their student ambassadors. My son had one on Saturday and the young lady did an excellent job on the benefits of being in Hutton and also gave some helpful scheduling tips. I’m sure that they have someone who has gone through Hamilton-Lugar or Luddy that can provide your daughter some insight to the program, etc. Good Luck to your daughter.
