I live in Indiana and have accepted the fact that I cannot make it into my dream school of Notre Dame, so it is IU or Purdue for me. I am just really torn between the two schools and also what major I want to pursue. If I went to Purdue it would be for Civil or Mechanical Engineering, and if I went to IU it would be for sports broadcasting or business. I know it is a wide array of majors, but I am not really sure on why I want to do yet. I am still a Junior at a school of 2600. I have a 3.5 GPA, did great on the PSAT but haven't taken the SAT or ACT yet. What I am getting at is I need some opinions and reasons on which major to pick and maybe some pros or cons from each school. I love IU's campus, but wish it had engineering, let's just say that.

If engineering is your first choice of major, go to Purdue.

Yep, it really depends on your choice of major, because it’s pretty clear-cut which school is the best for either. Obviously, IU doesn’t even have engineering, while IU’s sports communication program is one of the best in the country. So if you want to go into engineering, go to Purdue. If you want sports stuff… come join me at the School of HPER in Bloomington. :)

As of now, I am leaning towards BTown!!!

Is it hard to get into the HPER program at IUB?
