IU undergraduate Physics program vs Purdue's

Which one is best for graduate school admissions?
I want lots of research opportunities in the Physics field. I don't really care about social life. Just the physics program pl0x.

Could you be interested in engineering? If there is a 5% possibility of that, you should go to Purdue. If you are thinking about PreMed, then come to IU.

Both are possibilities in the long run, although a Phd in Nuclear Physics is my main goal.
I saw IU had one of the best Nuclear Physics programs (which surprised my bro, an IU psychology graduate), and I was wondering if that is true or just silly rankings.

Bumping, as I am interested in this too.

Yes, IU does have some fantastic nuclear physics professors. One of the reasons is because IU has a cyclotron which is used for experiments. http://iuco.indiana.edu/

I don’t think Purdue has this.

Not to sound cheesy, but I’d suggest visiting them both and seeing which one you like the best. Each has its own pros and cons, so maybe getting a feel of both colleges is a good start. However, if you’re very strong in math, I’d suggest Purdue because they focus more on that.

Does anyone have some pro’s vs con’s of one or both universities?
