I've been trying to decide between IU Kelley School of Business and UT McCombs and it's been extremely difficult! I was accepted direct admit with admittance into Hutton Honors at Kelly and was accepted into McCombs, but not into the business honors program. I'm from the south, so weather may be a problem (but I want to experience new things), but the costs are close enough between the two that finances aren't an issue. Any words of advice? Thank you for the help!!

Since they are ranked almost identically, and finances are about the same, I’d look at two things: strength of alum relations for recruiting purposes and where you think you want to end up living after graduating. Texas’ alum base wins hands down; the other depends on your preferences. Good luck!

Hutton Honors and Kelley Honors are not the same program, so you are actually not in honors at Kelley. Honors at McCombs and Kelley are both amazing programs. At Kelley, you have to apply for honors at the end of your freshman year. There are benefits to being in Hutton, but Kelley honors is way more exclusive, with about 150 in Kelley honors and 900 (about 12% of entering freshmen) in Hutton honors in each class. Probably most of the Kelley honors students are also in Hutton honors.
