After careful deliberation, I have decided to pursue law and be a corporate lawyer. I am a good debater and I just feel it would be worthwile. However, what should I major in if I want to do this? Political Science? Public Policy?

pretty much anything, but since its corporate lawyer, I'd probably do economics or take some economics courses too

You don't really have to debate so much as negotiate for corporate lawyer.

Whatever you're interested in. Those two sound good if you are interested in the subject matter. Otherwise, lawyers major in everything from economics/English to anthropology, it's really your choice.

What about English? I like writing a lot.

Go for it, I was thinkng about doing the same thing as you, but i'm probably going into operations research and economics instead of english/historyish stuff

I've decided to become a serial sniper! (not really)

Oh, if you're pre-serial sniper, Duke recommends you take a year of physics and Math 103, but other than that, you can major in anything you want as long as you think you can get at least a 3.7 gpa overall.
Hope that helps.

Haha, i actually thought u were serious for a second..sillly me.

I just beat Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
It was an incredible game.

Diddy out

I know what was incredible...believe me.

To get into law school (and be successful when you're there) you really have to be able to write well and be analytical. Therefore, there are no "set" majors to get you into law school, but, if you take a schedule that improves your writing over four years, you're good. That said, PPS and PS are popular choices for pre-law. I think nationally, English majors, History majors, and Economics major have higher LSAT scores, though.

(Personally, I'm debating between Poli Sci/IR, English and maybe a minor in Religion, and I'm pre-law. My roommate's sister who just graduated from Duke was History and Art History double major and is in law school).
