So i wanted to apply to Whittier College for the December 1 deadline in order to qualify for financial aid and scholarships. But i didn't end up apply applying by december one, which was yesterday... and today morning, december 2nd, i got an email saying the following...

I didn't see your completed Common Application in my inbox this morning, but because I'm so interested in learning more about you, I've decided to extend your deadline by 24 hours. So, if I receive your application by midnight tonight, you'll still receive all the benefits of our nonbinding Early Action program. I encourage you to apply now to take advantage of:

A waived application fee (simply select the "other" fee waiver option under the payment section)
An admission decision in the first week of January 2013

SO NOW i was wondering if these emails are actually true that they'll extend the deadline until december 2nd for me to apply!? i always get emails saying i have an extra day to meet the deadline so are these emails actually true!?
