I've decided to retake the SAT (2290 first time)...made a deal with mother

<p>background: senior, took sat in March once and got 2290</p>

<p>Yay! so my mom and I made a deal: </p>

<p>I can sign up for the SAT on dec 5th, and pay for the registration fee +test prep book fees with my own money</p>

<p>and when scores come out, 2350-2390 = mom refunds half of my money
2400= mom refunds all of it</p>

<p>Ah darn man. I was in a similar situation, but not quite as extreme as yours. I retook a 2190 and got 2180. Luckily my superscore went up to 2240, otherwise it would have been a complete waste.</p>

<p>'salright pigs! I really don’t think any one factor (ie. SAT scores) will hurt your application, they do look at things holistically, and you as a person. </p>

<p>You know, I admire your tenacity and the way you don’t hesitate to laugh at yourself. Best of luck come April :)</p>
