The WAMC section among others helps a lot in that regard. However, I also think that an outlet-something I did not actually have for a long time-has made myself be able to focus on more pertinent things as the mundane need for a place to talk has now been solved tremendously.

I totally agree with you. Plus, you're talking to kids that are actually like you, which is better than talking to most kids at a lot of our schools who don't really care about their academics or their future.

I actually live in a school where many do care about the future and the academics, but prior reputation and my personal reclusivity are hard to break, partially because of my social roughness. This forum has also helped smooth the edges down a bit and get me introduced to normal conversation.

Well, the students in my school aren't very academic or goal oriented so
I can't have the types of conversations I have at CC with them.

Ah. Yes, I agree, it is a benefit all around. In addition, the students who are goal oriented and are here can point you to further goals; expansion leads to expansion. It is how I figured out about summer programs and what told me to differentiate between majors, colleges, and types of post-college courses, which will now go into effect both when I apply for the courses senior year as well as to actual college admissions at the end of the first semester.

I agree. CC has been very beneficial. I have found out about colleges and summer programs and extracurricular activities. I now know many things that will help me greatly when it is time to apply to college.

There are many things I wished I knew freshman year, so I must say it is good for you to be on as well.

It's good I'm here early. I feel I can learn many things from you upperclassmen.

Of course I must go off to dinner now, so I shall be back for the second rush after 2200. And yet another 100-post day.

Good-bye!!

hey! I'm a girl. I might be a brainless zombie girl, but a girl all the same

theblumuffin! How nice of you to join us once more.

Sorry for the mistake!

Now I would have never guessed that at any time! Have you your brain back? Or has it been lost in the pursuit of knowledge? (I have been in that one too. It takes a while to get on track. When I go back to school I will definitely have some long adjustment to the pace of academic life again, which is why summers are so hard on me.)

I have half of my brain now. Alas, one half is sttill miossing

Good luck finding it!

^hence the horrible speeelikng

I mean that writing thingy with those shapes ...

That is horrible!

Wait! Why do I only have half of theblumuffin's brain upstairs in my room? How did the other half disappear?
