I took the SAT in May and got an 1860 without preparation. I'm starting to review now, because I have 6 weeks until the October 1 exam. I just took a princeton review test and scored 1900. I'm gonna use the PR ten practice tests for the next two weeks so I can conserve the BB questions. How much can I expect to improve if I do the entire BB and memorize flash cards for the next 6 weeks vigorously? Is 2200 a realistic goal?

It is a realistic goal if you give in 1-2 hours a day to studying. You scored a 1860, which is a excellent score without prep. So with prep, expect improvements.

Totally possible. I’m actually in quite a similar situation. In my opinion, its all about how you use you time, and how much real effort you put in it.

I know people who say they are studying but procrastinate like crazy. And also people who study on and off. Study the right way using a steady approach

Cheers mate, lets get 2200+

You definitely can. I heard PR is generally easier than the actual tests…I’m using Barron’s (which is harder).
I suggest going over all your mistakes and understanding them. Also, take a few tests (maybe 2-3, depending on how many tests you have access to) without timing yourself. Check over each section super thoroughly and see what you score. Then incorporate the time limit. This has helped me… I found that reading carefully during the first few tests carries over even when I’m pressured by the time.

Prep exactly how the above people tell you^

But one more thing, for measuring how well you might do on the actual test, use the BB tests only.

It’s the closest to the real thing, and only use PR for supplement and practice when you’ve exhausted all else.
