I've yet to receive anything... yet I can log into NYUHome with my NYU ID?

S has been admitted and we cannot create the account. I don't know quite how OP was able to; you need a NET ID which is not your NYU ID and that is only available I'm guessing after you are actually enrolled (having submitted SIR). I could be all wrong here, and if I am, sorry, but it seems unlikely that this would be a way to check admissions decisions. Good luck to all.

I've been admitted and I can't create an account.

From what NYUJosh has said, it sounds like perhaps the OP was able to do this before NYU realized and now they have blocked it off, but are perhaps noting that admitted students are not yet able to create an account? Just a theory.

yeah mine says "According to our records you are not eligible at this time to hold an NYU password." too

I logged in again just to see if I could, and it worked. They had already assigned me an e-mail username, so we'll see what happens once letters go out. My worst fear is that it was just a fluke.

Also, remark_gi is likely right, though I definitely haven't submitted the SIR and I haven't even been admitted yet! The NYU ID that was provided on the confirmation letter let me receive an e-mail address; I don't know what's going on, but at least it's given me some excitement today.

I really think this is crazy - I couldn't get in either...
but then, perhaps admitted students (who haven't received their decision letter yet too) can get in...
sniff
So many people got their letters.......... what about all of us??

got the "bad" message just like the rest of you all.

i'll be awaiting my small envelope. :) I know people at my school who were accepted two weeks ago, but i still haven't gotten anything.

i guess they really do wait until the end to send out rejections! Oh well, at least i'm not alone here...

Well, I received my acceptance package today via UPS (International, applied to Stern) and the webiste assigned me an NYU NetID after I entered my NYUID (the N1234567 thing) and my D.O.B.

I was really surprised... I am still not sure if I am going to go to NYU. I suppose your NYUID and your NetID will get deleted if you end up not matriculating, right?

I just tried it with the NYUID given to me in the confirmation letter, and it works!!!

Phoenix, did you get a response yet?

Never mind, saw that you were accepted to Tisch. Congrats!

Thanks, and I got an invitation a couple of weeks ago.

Waiting for the official acceptance package this week.

I tried it out tonight after being rejected from Northwestern (I need something to cheer me up, eh?) and it worked flawlessly. Too bad we couldn't chose our emails... I prefer the standard jsmith with some numbers if necessary. The three initials feels so ambiguous.

You can change your e-mail address in the preferences section.

Yeah, I just found that actually...

I wonder what will happen should I choose not to go to NYU..? Oh well, surprisingly fun for the time being.

haha yay i just made my account :)

hmm but it won't let me access the financial aid page
