Trinity - High Match
Wesleyan - High Match
Georgetown - Low Reach

Your ECs aren’t that unique and your stats are pretty good, but you don’t have many APs. How many does your school offer? Your chances increase drastically at any of the schools except Yale and Georgetown if you apply ED/EA.

I have taken all the APs they have to offer so far, and I’m on track to do 6 next year.

For the Ivies, forget about it.

Georgetown and the others: Your stats are good but just write a very good essay.

You’re a competitive applicant anywhere you apply. You likely won’t be admitted to all these to which you apply, but you should have a few from which to choose when all is said and done.

Your passion for softball specifically stands out and it’s clear that you’ve expanded it outside of school–and while Ivies are reaches for everyone, I do think you are a competitive applicant for the other schools you listed!

@StanfordSwag Why do you say to forget about it?

@thinkingtoohard Explain to me why exactly you want to go to one of those Ivy League schools. Then I’ll explain.

@thinkingtoohard,

Who you really need to explain things to are the admissions committees, not random, anonymous posters on college confidential. Your objective measures are high enough to make a credible application to the schools you mention. What you make of those applications is your own, through your letters of recommendation and your essays, and how you present and shape your application overall.

Keep doing what you’re doing, and ignore the ankle-biters.

@notjoe Thank you for your positivity- I really appreciate it. :slight_smile:
