Profile
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Female
Country: US
Class Rank: 1 (Valedictorian, although we typically have 10+ from our school each year... it's a strange system lol)
GPA: 4.0 (5.273 weighted, the max out of our system)
Senior classes: All honors, have already completed the entire math curriculum and will complete the science by end of senior year

I can't remember if I'm forgetting anything here, but if I do I will add on later.
:( I would really appreciate honest opinions/criticism/advice? My dream school would be Yale and am still deciding between engineering and pre-med (depending on my freshman GPA haha...) and have UW-Mad as my back-up, but will be applying to any Ivy on the east coast seeing as my brother is at Cornell. If anyone is in the same boat as me, I'd be perfectly willing to check out your profile with any thoughts of my own :D

Honestly, it’s completely luck of the draw at this point. You are a competitive applicant but with no hook it is difficult (even then, people get rejected). The essay will make or break you so make sure you spend a lot of time on it. Good luck!

Yeah, unfortunately I don’t have anything strong going for me besides lots of clubs and test scores… But hopefully my essay can persuade them :frowning: Thanks a bunch for your feedback!!

great standardized test scores and gpa + class rank, but being asian (sigh affirmative action) will not be helping you out in any way :(

i’d say try your best on the essays and get great teacher recommendations; other than that, good luck!
