I have all the credentials to get into any ivy league or MIT. I also play volleyball. I'm a 5'10" hitter. I'm All-Conference, All-County, and All-Area Honorable Mention. I've played three years of varsity and three of club. What are my chances of playing at an ivy league school or MIT?

I would think very good. Some Ivy programs are stronger than others. Take a look at the rosters to get a feel for their size, and read the bios to get a feel for their accomplishments. Have you started the recruiting process? You didn’t mention your year in school, but I am assuming by your '95 you are 2013 or 14? If '13 you are a little late to the game if you are not already having conversations with schools you are interested in - start calling NOW. If 2014, now is a great time to get started. Hopefully you have video from the club season that just ended so you can start creating highlight video. Start creating a profile with your academic and athletic stats and reaching out to coaches NOW. My D received her first Ivy contact the Spring of her Sophomore year. We did not go the Ivy route but she verbally committed late summer just before her Junior year started and will sign this November. We know some girls who did go Ivy and verbally committed Spring of Junior year. Obviously the final process is more complex with Ivy (and I would assume MIT), but you need to be at least in discussions with them as soon as possible. Just returned from Nationals in Columbus and every Ivy coach and MIT were all there, so there will be a lot of recruiting activity going on over the next few months. Feel free to PM me if you have any volleyball specific questions. Good luck!
