<p>I was in the same situation, having taken the old SAT twice and new SAT once. However, I'm mainly happy with my scores except my 710 writing. I'm not going to retake because that is like the 4th time taking it. What were your highest old SAT scores and what schools are you aiming for?</p>

710 Math to bring it up (STUPID CARELESS ERRORS)
730 Reading to bring it up a little
780 Writing (I am VERY HAPPY with this score)</p>

<p>I've been vacillating between retaking the test or just doing well on Math IC to show them I'm competent in math. I hope to major in economics, so does that really require intense math?</p>

But then I went crazy and thought I needed more on my resume to get into the colleges I wanted to, so I decided to stick w/ the typical 4-year plan.</p>
<p>And I don't think I should take it a fourth time...but I AM applying to Harvard (only ivy I'm applying to so far).</p>

<p>If you're in the 760-800 range consistently, then I'd recommend a 4th try. Although scores are just one part of the equation, a 760 SAT math looks a whole lot better than 680 for top schools like Harvard. Good luck!</p>

<p>I wouldn't retake anything over a 2200. I was even thinking about not retaking a 2150, but I decided that I am. If you retake over a 2200 (def not over 2500) you're just gonna look crazy.</p>
<p>I didn't take the June, but I'm still trying to decide if I should retake in October. I'm looking at Vassar and similar schools.
