What are my chances of getting accepted into James Madison University?
3.3 GPA (3.6 weighted)
4 year varsity swimmer,captain senior year
3 year varsity tennis member, captain junior and senior years
1530 SAT 3 Score, 1010 two score
Sister is about to graduate from JMU
Applied early October but was deffered
4 letters of recommendation (2 from JMU Alumns one being a significant donor, one being a teacher, one being my h.s. Tennis coach)
Tons of leadership positions such as leading a middle school youth group sophomore and junior years
I was accepted into GMU last December for what it’s worth in comparison. Helpful responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
To be totally frank, your SAT is not good. That is definitely what is holding you back and probably why you were deferred. I’d say that you will eventually get accepted but if you don’t, your SAT is probably the reason. Good luck!
