i just said it bhaumik

u know make 45 45 triangle do pythag theorem 2^2+2^2= the 2(sqr2). then u just see which answer equals (sq2)-2 cause u know the big circle radius is 2 then i forgot ill show u if u really wanna know

haha carsonne....i'm gonna have to agree w city birds

@griffon-I graphed absolute value of x as well on my calculator, but it was a negative slope. Doesn't that make Y(f(x)) negative as well? I had a good feeling that I was just sort of giving away that question, it was a medium question and I wasn't sure if a medium question required that much thinking.

hey what was the side length of the square in the circle one...?

can someone expalin why i'm wrong:

*******i had a 45-45-90 with legs of 2 and hyp. of 2sqrt2, then u subtract two from that and get sqrt2. thats the diameter of small circle, for radius divide by 2.

= root 2 / 2********

i couldnt graph anything on my calc.. left it at school and had to frantically dig up a solar powered POS this morning. lol

wait lemme take pic since this is obviously causing confusion

wats that 4 large circle and 1 small crcle question number 20 on the math section?

yeah...i dont think it did require that much thinking Kumar...but i thought way too much on some of them too...i'm 97.9% positive

is there a definitive answer on the (something - something)(2n-11) or something is negative...how many n's make that negative. or something.

?

4?...........

4?

(10 char)

pton college: i got 4, assuming 0 is an integer.

i just looked at it lol.. since it was drawn to scale... i think only one i had NO idea on...
but im soo made about average speed one.. kept looking for why it was the last one in the section but ended up putting 30.. b/c it was grid-in. I get it now thou (26.6666 or 80/3)

city birds can u expalin that problem, i got it wrong.

oh yeah and that 4 one i got that wrong too lol

ok carsonne:
question was if she goes 20 mph for 10 miles and 40 mph for 10 miles what is average speed. So that means she takes 30 minutes to do that first part and 15 minutes to do the second part. Speed is just distance over time... soo speed is 20 miles (10+10) divided by .75 hours (45 minutes). So answer is 20/.75 or 26.6666 or 80/3.

I wish i put that but i put 30 lol.

What do you think I got if i got 3 wrong total???

??? i got 26.67

yea..i got that too..didn't wanna risk it...so i <frac>'d it..and put 80/3...</frac>

i put 26.7... you think they would count that as the right answer?

should...if they don't...then they have problems...cause 26.7 is a more realistic way to put it anyways..who writes distance as 80/3...lol...
