student, how do u know 2-30 is wrong?

Re: 6-11. I'm positive about my answer. It said in a paragraph explicitly (and to think you're to analyze!) that the Chief Justice was ****ed off because Brennan was trying to force his own "community values" on the school board.

Re: 5-23. My memory fails me. You could be right. Anyone else?

I just thought of another question for the USSC decision passage. The dissenting opinion uses "judges and teens" for what purpose?

I don't know. For 2-30 I put that the author was impressed at Kingston's use of English by mixing in dialects or something to that extent. That was choice B. I was short on time so I kind of took an educated guess.

I'd rather end up overestimating my number of errors than the opposite.

I don't think he bought the answer key yet, he probably just searched the other thread and the older threads because this test was recycled.

was this test recycled, or was it the native american test that was?

are you sure he said the plurality was trying to force their values? i dont remember any comments like that although this question stumped me so im prolly wrong. all i remember is that he talks about the correct past ruling about kids not having to pledge to the flag but this new ruling is contradictory to that, thats how i derived my answer.

I read the passage 3x, and I clearly recall that. Don't trust me 100% though (I'm never so arrogant as to say that).

The native american test was recycled (version 1; we took version 2) lucky ********, lol.

judging from the native american test answers people posted for verbal(tons of the words were on the testmasters vocab list) just my bad luck i didnt get that version :(

Here ya go, collegehopeful. ;)

Chief Justice BURGER, with whom Justice POWELL, Justice REHNQUIST, and Justice O'CONNOR join, dissenting.

In an attempt to place this case within the protection of the First Amendment, the plurality suggests a new "right" that, when shorn of the plurality's rhetoric, allows this Court to impose its own views about what books must be made available to students. [FN2]

i stand corrected, thanks

No problem. I hope you did well everywhere else. :)

haha, yes, thanks;)

5-18. Accepting that his father is not perfect is part of maturity.
5-19. Despite reluctance, the author accepted being in Memphis (B)

I'm not sure about these two. Could you give me the context again? I seem to remember putting different answers.

Joey

puddinggirl i don't see any words from form 02

this was a sentence completetion: 5-4. alarmed...instated (D)

what was this?? I don't remember! :X

To jprencipe:

I didn't put those either. I don't remember exactly what i put-- i think maturity was trying to forget his resentment, either that or talking to his father about his problems with moving; i forgot what i put for 19, but I know it wasn't that. what about you guys??

i put trying to forget his resentment. he talked about how his time to react was when the problems occured, which was during his teenage years. but now that he's older the mature thing to do is forget.

why is 34 rejection? she said it was a "knotty problem" & that it was quite difficult to distinguish, and she didn't blame them at all [the critics that don't belong in the minority]. whereas she did blame the chinese and african-americans for forcing the two authors to conform to "social" standards and not "artistic" ones... anyone else agree?? I put sympathy, because she called it a knotty problem. shoot.
