January 2009 SAT Experimental Sections

I had math back to back on section 3 and 4. The whole test was a blur to me -_-. Anyone know which math section was exp. and a sample question?

i just found out from collegeboard.com which section was the experimental from the one i took on 24th of this month but i forgot what the passage was about :(

Essay
Mathematics (includes SPR questions)
Reading (includes 2 long passages)
Mathematics
*Equating (the one that doesn't count toward your score)
Writing
Reading
Mathematics
Reading
Writing

this was the order and if there's anyone who can recall what the topic of the experimental passage was, please share.

*i am wondering if the passage was about a scientist asking his friends 20 questions and finally realizing that the answer was 'cloud' though

thanks in advance and wish you all good luck.

^ It was the scientist asking his friends questions.

Did anyone get the pink booklet and no experimental section?

Title says it all..i had this very long section and i think it was the experimental? i ve asked many people and nobody has had it sans a couple..

I don't remember reading that so it was probably an experimental one.

but according to this..

If you took the black-and-white-cover version of the SAT on Saturday, January 24, 2009, you had one of two section orders. Your test was organized like this:

Essay

Mathematics (includes SPR questions)

Reading (includes 2 long passages)

Mathematics

Equating (the one that doesn't count toward your score)

Writing

Reading

Mathematics

Reading

Writing

it says a math section is the experimental right? this passage was in section 2 if i remember correctly..

Equating is the experimental. it can be anything. I doubt the section you are wondering about is section 2.

well does anyone have a format for what passages were in what section? i could have sworn it was #2. :(

If your absolutely sure that that CR section was in sect 2, then it it wasn't equating. According to the collegeboard site, there was no equating for section 2 for any of the various test formats.

Yeah, I had that passage. No one else seemed to.

how are u all sure that the math experimental section was the one with the pentagon? like, how do you know?
I'm really hoping its the one with the (k-1)/k LOL i screwed up on that one T_T

^ It's not the (k-1)/K. i had that, and my experimental was cr.

I had this passage in the experimental CR section in both January and November 2008.

yeah i thought the newton, 20 questions game was wierd. i sure hope to hell that was the experimenta. until then, i thought i was doing fine

i had the non-newtonian experimental CR. i also know that one experimental was a writing section where the correcting the passage at the end was NOT about windmills.
