@disagreement,
There’s no such thing as karma. :P

Truce? 10 char

I got a score of 2000. That was my target score and I’m REALLY pleased with it :D

And FYI - if you have an Eli account your scores will probably already be there.

portugeseninja can you give us a breakdown of your scores?

@Lannister,
You said “a group of strangers,” yet you felt the need to post a picture that you are actually in…lol…but as I said before, I’m done. Hope you make your dad proud. :)

Edit: and suree, truce. :)

Congratulations on your 2000 portugueseninja!!! Feel well.

Good stuff.

May I ask why you do not believe in Karma?

CR 660
M 580
W 760

Math is not my strength. And I’m an independent applicant, already out of high school. So if you’re in school and your brain is more fresh than mine then you’re likely to do pretty well.

Good luck everyone!

I think we should make a new Jan. 2010 SAT results thread. Anyone else think so too?

uhhh I dont think so

4.0s are never easy, and while they might be harder (considerably so) @ Harvard, I believe that you were a bit extreme in your presentation of credentials from Harvard and from ASU

obviously, 4.0 vs 3.5 is a big difference

what about 4.0 vs 3.8?
the point is, in cases where all other factors are constant, a school’s prestige can be a deciding factor

which goes to show that it is, in fact, uhhh, germane :D

similarly, I dont think Harvard graduate admissions’ officers are idiots; they may value a 3.5 from harvard more than they do a 4.0 from ASU

just because of the sheer, as you yourself proclaimed, disparity in difficulty

omg…i feel so stupid compared to every1 else, i dont even know what H is…im assuming harvard

and why dont we change the topic…i cant think of anything

Nah dude, H is for Hairitage Hair Academy.

http://www.hairitagehairacademy.com/

(srs)

ayushtamin Don’t worry about it, you’ll pick up the shorthand! People often use H Y and P to mean, Harvard, Yale and Princeton.

@Lannister,
Not if it’s going to start an argument lol.

Well, I just don’t think that my arguing with someone over a forum could have any effect on the outcome of my scores. They’re totally unrelated.

Lannister… play nice ;)

Hairitage Hair Academy is no joke, I’m applying E.D.
Goshhhhh

aright cool, and sadly to say, my parents care way more about all this stuff than i do…i perfectly cool w/ going to rutgers…but my parents say i could be so much better if i tried…thats why i put effort into the sats

I’ve seen enough in my life to know that good things tend to happen to good people, as much of a clich

They should, but they don’t at least as far as law school is concerned. See Law School is one big numbers game (even more so than undergrad). The rank of a LS is based heavily on the Middle 50% of the LSAT and GPA of the people it accepts. So accepting a 4.0/180 from ASU would benefit HLS’s ranking, while accepting the 3.5/180 from H undergrad would hurt HLS’s rankings. Therefore they will go with the guy from ASU. And by the way, even going with 3.8/175 (lets also be more realistic on the LSAT), a guy from ASU with a 4.0/175 will get in before a 3.8/175 from Harvard undergrad at least as far as HLS is concerned. But I do see your argument…lets get back to anxiously waiting for our SAT scores…

No way, let’s chill.
