@glasses1 Did you remember the question for the 1 question in the Section 10 by chance? The one about " how did … maintain …" or "mantained.

I thought the Asian american section was so much harder than the second one! I think I put no error for the India valley

Was there a typo on the last 10 min writing section #8? It was about early televisions and midnight and it was in the present tense? Was the correct answer changing the “will something” to past tense?

@glasses1, I agree with all of your questions from the post about Japanese rice. As for the food supply for fish, I asked the same question to myself during the test, but I ended up selecting E) No error. I generally just go with my gut on anything involving English, so I can’t give any sort of justification, if it feels right, it feels right.

As for my original question, all I remember aside from what I have already said is that it involved a small phrase inside of a much larger sentence. I paraphrased this phrase before as [what appears to us to be negative…]. I don’t remember the exact context of this phrase, but it seemed to me that the question was asking why the author would describe the negative feelings (that certain architectural styles give humans) in subjective terms [what appears to us] instead of just speaking about negative architecture objectively. I assumed this was the tacit admission on the part of the author that architectural styles are interpreted subjectively on a subconscious level, rather than that there are any architectural styles which are objectively negative. Therefore, I chose an answer containing the phrase “open to interpretation.”

I hope you guys can follow this, because I feel like I’m not making sense.

Does anyone remember putting “outspoken disapproval” for one of the answers? I think it waas one of the short passages

@jansatomg
yeah i remember that one, but writing answers are usually harder for me to remember b/c there are so many different choices and dont sink in the same way critical reading answers do. can you give me more context about the question? that usually helps me remember. it might have been choice d? but im not sure… sorry

Yesss I did ^^

@RhythmMeleon, yes I put outspoken condemnation

I said guarded skepticism opps… It was the short passage on Mamet or whatever his name is

@glasses1 So you picked the one with “how it maintained”? Rather than " how did it maintain"?

He never really seemed to be outspoken about it though. He said that he didn’t mind them, just didn’t think it was worthwhile basically IIRC

Outspoken condemnation and yes

@Mystic1996 Yeah I think I pick one about that, Guarded skepticism. It should be in the first section ? But I forgot what’s the passage bout. Can u post more bout tht by chance?

@Radicalness
I think I put that then, b/c your reasoning seems to make sense to me. but i’m having trouble remembering exactly. do you remember any of the other answer choices? i was kind of flustered and rushed for time…

@Chemmy133, it said that he spoke “caustically” of those methods mentioned in passage 1
definition of caustic: severely critical or sarcastic as in “a caustic remark.”

@jansatomg, yeah i think so, but i’m not sure exactly. like i said id probably need to see the question to be sure

@glasses1
Sorry, I don’t remember any of the other answer choices. I think somebody else said they had a debate in their mind about whether it was “open to interpretation” or “self determined”. I think there was an answer with self determined, but I chose against it because the crux of the passage was that these stimuli are interpreted on a subconscious level, and we can not influence how we experience the architectural styles, if that makes sense.

It was asking what would he think about a method mentioned in passage 1. I don’t know if it was condemnation though…
@jansat that short dual passage was really hard I don’t even know why

^Yes I felt so good about myself just from seeing/using the “caustic” lol

@Mystic1996 . K,if that’s a comparative short paragraph. I’m sure it should be “skeptic” Since it’s a passage talking about if the actors should solely focus on scripts or blend in some personal experience. And the second paragraph it’s said clearly that the guy has no problem with those people blending personal experience, but he thinks it’s a waste of time. But the part of the repetition thing quetion, I really not sure.
