Can't believe there's no thread yet.

What did the bowl of flowers and the world represent? I put the they represented the fact that imperfection is necessary I think.

What did the bowl of flowers and the world represent? I put the they represented the fact that imperfection is necessary I think.

That’s what I got out of it. It seemed like the flowers represented something that seems pretty and ideal in concept but in reality is quite simple and that imperfections are actually better than the ‘ideal’. Also put the overall idea was about poetry, bc “The Poetry of Our Climates” or whatever the title was

Overall I thought this was harder than the December one. But WAY shorter. Last time I rushed at the end and finished in the last minute. This time I had like ten minutes to spare.

The last set of questions were on the Citizen Sparrow, right?

Yes. That was my worst passage.

what was the sparrow supposed to represent?

Someone who critiques from the sidelines

wastn that the social event commentator choice?..

oh and also, the one about the woman and her husband “falling” was about adultery and cheating on their spouses rite?.. pls say yes lmao

About wives cheating on their spouses? Yeah. It was from Othello.

I got the sparrow one wrong

URGH, this test was not easy. At all. I completely screwed-up the Othello one, because it was my third test and I was super exhausted. I figured it was about adultery, but I went against my instincts. So depressing. By the way, what was the Adam one about?

The Adam one was about loss of peace of mind, imho.

That is what I chose, too. How about the one about the poor English town?

I chose the one about judicial injustice and not economic, because it called the guy grand judge or something like that

“Lord High Chancellor in his High Court of Chancery”

Hmmm. That seems about right. The story seemed to be about the shoddy condition of the area, though.

Yeah but the focus on the Chancellor guy seemed to imply a social justice theme. Also I believe the fog and soot and snow were symbolic of the poor.

Ugh I feel like the sparrow one and the poor English town were my worst…does anybody know what kind of curve there is for the Lit test?

this one was a bit hard, so i’d say about 3 or 4 wrong would get you an 800.
