****JANUARY 2015 SAT THREAD (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS).****

@Janice1019‌ Isn’t being passive?

@Janice1019‌

The “… having been …” one, that was my answer…

But I’m not sure about this, not really…

Does anyone knows if two SAT tests are exactly the same then whether the curve is also the same or it could be different?

Does anyone know Oct 2012 international SAT curve? From what I read, the curve seems to be really harsh, especially writing and maths.

@asiankid88‌ yeah it is but the front part was in present tense so i thought having been was awkward. I chose “his being” but maybe that’s wrong :frowning:

@thezealot‌ i don’t think it’s excatly the same curve as it depends on how ppl do doens’t it?

@Janice1019 there was one with a preposition do you recall anything about it?

@asiankid88‌ uhh i’m not sure… some of the writing questions kinda threw me off… and i usually get 780~800 in writing, so i’m worried about this one.

@Janice1019‌ ahhh… ok. The traffic on the bridge was closed in filming a movie. Sounds right?

@Janice1019‌ I think it would sound right for “the traffic on the bridge was closed on January 1st” cuz (sentence) then (preposition)

Wow.

@Janice1019‌ I think the curves would be the same. If CB readjusted the curve relative to how people do on particular tests then the average SAT score would be the same year after year. SAT curves are adjusted so that a 2400 on a test you took in Dec 2010 (just an example) will be of the same difficulty as the one you took in Jan 2015. Make sense?

Can anyone who knows for sure chime in?

@asiankid88‌ i thought it was while a movie scene was being filmed. am i wrong? :frowning:

@MarcoReus‌ :hushed: :anguished:

When I was writing the essay I asked my proctor how much time is remaining. She said 3 mins. I got freaked out because I was still writing my 2nd example. I quickly wrote a short 3 example and a short conclusion to avoid running out of time.

Turned out, she calculated the time wrong and announced ‘5 mins remaining’ to the whole room. Such a bitch. I wrote a 1.5 page essay instead of 2 because of her!!

@Janice1019‌ i’m not sure… lol how many do you think you can get wrong for writing and still get 700+

Do you guys remember the math question asking whether it would intersect the parabola? (I, II or III)

@MarcoReus‌ ikr?

I found Writing very easy. In section 10, there were 3 no errors, right?

In maths I got stuck in the question which asked about the combined work done if machine A takes t time and machine B takes t/2 time to do a work individually. If both work at the same time and take 12 hours then what is t or something like that…

What is the answer? I blindly guessed C.

guys look at the 10/12 for this chart
same curve as oct 2012

Anyone? Do you guys remember the parabola question? (I,II or III) Where will it intersect?

@DerRoteBaron‌ II and III AFAIR.

II) y = 4 and III) y = x + 1, something like these.
