January 28th SAT

Originally got a 1630 (510CR 570M 550W). I am an average student. But after some assistance and constant practice tests that I score 1800+ on each time, I hope to receive:

620 CR
600 M
630+ W

Already did the SAT. Finished about 3 hours ago. ( I live in Australia, about 15 hours ahead of you all) I feel I did pretty decently…

Good luck to all the rest of you.

I thought it was really easy compared to previous tests

Can we start posting answers yet? If not, everyone write them down in word or something so you don’t forget, lets try to get as many as possible just so we can all relax :)

IMO:
Math- easy, a few were hard, but manageable, I got it eventually
CR- Did the experimental have to be CR :frowning: So much reading!!! I thought the traffic one was the easiest by far, so hoping that wasn’t the experimental one, the other three I thought were a little confusing, especially the camera one (hopefully that WAS the experimental)
Writing- There were a few that stumped me, but I tried them anyway. For the most part it wasn’t too bad, it seemed like there were A LOT of verb tense disagreement. Also, on the shorter one, I got 2 or 3 no errors, hope they were right.

ANYONE KNOW IF WE CAN START POSTING ANSWERS!!! I think by now everyone has either taken the test, or is currently in the test (West coast and extended time)

How many omitted or wrong for 600 at least for math?

Wow, I really thought that test was difficult. By far the hardest test I have ever taken.

did you guys get the black photographer and the one about traffic and the one about human clock/rhythm? was the dummy section the mystery novel one?

I’m pretty sure my experimental section was math, since I was the only person using a calculator in my room, and there wasn’t anything involving a “mystery novel” or mystery novels.
I hope it was, that math was actually pretty difficult.
Oh, and the first critical reading section was terrible for me. I forget exactly why, it just wasn’t pretty. -_-

My experimental was writing, I got two 35 question writing sections

i agree math section was horrible, not enough time…

Well there was one math section in particular that I found myself rushing on. The rest weren’t terrible, exactly, but I’ve seen easier math sections.
On the bright side, I found the writing as a whole pretty easy, essay included.

the black photographer passage was pretty difficult

When can we expect the results to the Jan 28th exam?

I think the scores are available on February 16th

Hey, what did you guys put for that question about the chipmunks and habits? Critical reading question? None of the answer choices made sense for me :frowning: And it was the first question of the section…gah…

The critical reading section seemed much more difficult than the ones in the official practice tests. I really didn’t understand the camera and the one about the writer and her landlord.

^ I thought the landlord one was a little weird as well, but I think I got the answers. Did you get a vocabulary question about chipmunks and food? First question in a CR section?

Anyone have two writing sections? sections 6 and 7

^^to those asking about the chipmunk, I’m relatively sure that section was experimental, I don’t remember getting a question like that at all. I got a math experimental, and my CR sections were camera, traffic, landlord, circadian rhythms.

The passage about that documentary photographer and camera was like the worst passage that I ever had. I guessed about half of them. Other than this one section, I thought other sections were pretty reasonable and easy. As soon as other guys take the test, we should start discuss about questions!
