January Program in Boston and London

I was admitted to the College of General Studies January Program in Boston and London and I didn’t even know this was an option, honestly. Who else was admitted to this?

I was also admitted to the College of General Studies January program. I applied for CGS and am really disappointed. Seems that we weren’t good enough to make it/ they do not have enough room, but they are finding a way to still collect our tuition money.

Same here… My Daughter applied for Fall 2013 to CAS… And we learned that she was admited to CGS… Jan 2014? What is that? Is she going to skip a Semester?

I guess that means what u just said, you start jan 2014 and summer 2014 is in London.

I was accepted to that too! I am honestly excited though because I didn’t think I would get in at all. Plus, you’ll be on track by sophomore year. Seems fun.

@muchtooquiet That is true. It could be an amazing experience. My worry is that we would have trouble integrating into spring semester.

I was admitted into this program as well! I’m really excited about it because I didn’t think I could get into BU. I think it’ll be a very good experience especially since we get to change colleges junior year depending on our major.

Great program, but very expensive :frowning: We have a lot of thinking to do

Hi all!
I am a current student at CGS and I wanted to tell you a little about the program.
So yes it is a January start, but that is to give you time to work or travel or what not. But you would have the AMAZING opportunity to go to London in the summer (something not guaranteed to all students)! I had a friend who went to London over the summer and they had a great time.
You would be on a team of peers who would all be January start students just like you and believe me when I say that is going to be a great experience. You’ll have no problem making friends because you’ll all be in the same boat. I met some of my best friends because we were on the same team in CGS. We are practically a family.
The other great thing about the January start program is that sophomore year you’ll start in the fall with all your other fellow CGS students.
Also, being admitted for January start does not mean you aren’t “good enough”. You are more than good enough and that’s why you’ve been admitted!
And I would consider you all so lucky to be admitted to the program. When I heard about it, I was so jealous.
