Hi, I’m taking the January SAT for colleges like Duke, UPenn, and Dartmouth. I understand that there are 4 free score reports if I report the scores within 5 or so days after the SAT. If I report it to schools like Cornell University (they said they accept up to December), will they consider it?
No, if it’s pass the official date, they won’t consider it, but it doesn’t hurt to send the scores.
As to four free reports, you must identify the colleges in your test application as ones to receive scores automatically upon release, and you must do that identification by no later than 9 days after taking the test. That results in the fastest form of delivery of scores to colleges (usually delivered a day before you get them online), but you do send scores that way before you know what they are. Note that you can identify more than four colleges in your test registration but for the fifth and above it costs a fee per college.
As to the colleges you list, all will accept the Jan test as long as it arrives in time to be considered. Your best chance of getting the scores to the college in time to be considered is to idenitfy the college in your test registration as ones to automatically receive scores upon release.
