~~~~January SAT Official Math Discussion~~~~
how about some1 just tally up who thinks what.... and then come to a consensus of the answer then move on?
Yeah, I got d^2h.
it asked for ONLY the intersection between Y and Z not elements common to Y and Z.
there is a clash if u include intersections between X Y and Z, (There are more if X contained more of the intersections)
We are not looking at a set of numbers but the numbers that are in the SET.
I don't recall only in the question.
What I like about math is that it's clear cut. When we start arguing over semantic, that's when it becomes all hazy like English. Boooo.
I sticking to my answer of 10.
the only part does not matter. Sungchul is right (except his answer :p)
it asked for the intersection between Y and Z.. not X Y and Z
if it was X Y and Z it would be 3 by the way.
omg it is 10.
http://www.purplemath.com/modules/venndiag2.htm
go down to the 2nd venn diagram with 3 circles.
wait wendy....so u agree now
yeah i admit its probly 10. they should explain their notation tho. its not standard.
man u guys suck lol
tried tricking all of you.
this is basic statistics by the way.
and it would still be 10
i always got 10 for that answer
-1 is 790 right?
not 780 or 770
I'm sure you did 8parks11. ^^
Chronic, it could be either of them depending on the test date.
I just called my AP Calc teacher and she told me that it was 10 for sure.
Glad someone else found it tho, it was getting ridiculous.
Can anyone talk about the minutes one? I seem to be getting 140 mins. Maybe I setup the equation wrong.
The phone one?
I got 40 minutes.
20x.07=1.40+1.00=2.40
40x.06=2.40
1+.07(t-20)=.06t
Solve for t.
I know this was a simple question, but when I graphed the problem to double check it looked wrong. Please, someone just answer it quickly: the one with two intersecting perpendicular lines, was the answer 5 because it made the slope a negative reciprocal?
Thanks but can you provide the wording to see how I came up with my equation? I dont remember.
I got 5 for that one as well...
