<p>Wanted to pass this on to my Tulane friends.</p>
<p>Drove past Touro Synagogue today while working uptown. This synagogue is not the one next to Tulane, but further down St. Charles near Napoleon and the Garden District.</p>
<p>Anyway, Jazz Fest is this weekend, and there was a big banner across the synagogue advertising a Jazz Fest Shabbat Dinner this Friday night. Irma Thomas' name was mentioned on the banner.</p>
<p>As I was driving, I couldn't see if she was going to be performing, attending, or they were just going to be playing her music.</p>
<p>I know Tulane students love to go to Jazz Fest, rightly so, and I wanted to pass this on to y'all.</p>
