<p>i suppose there's no chance anyway since if we won, we would have been notified by early april, and it's already mid-April. What'd you write about for the scholarship, btw?</p>
<p>I used the most hackneyed poem in the world. "A Dream Deferred". The essay was about trying to fulfill the dreams that my mother had to give up because of her journey over to America. I don't think it was unique enough. How about you?</p>
<p>I used a poem called "I am in need of music" by Elizabeth Bishop and basically the whole essay was about my connection to music and playing piano. I'm sure it's not what they were looking for.</p>
