Is anyone really interested in this program? Some people have told me that this degree might be devalued since its unorthodox, what do you guys think? What are career prospects like for this degree? Everyone profession needs leadership.

I don't see how this is unorthodox, it's not as if leadership studies is something unknown in America. Williams College has a solid leadership studies program aswell that has come to be well respected and has garned much attention among scholars. Professor Stewart Burns just took absense from Stanford to teahc leadership studies at Williams.

Generally, if not always, you will have another major to focus on and leadership studies will act more as a minor/concentration than your dominant study. I'm pretty sure this is true for Richmond as well. It can only help you, combine that with a political science or economics major and you will be fine.

Just checked.... yep, leadership studies will be in addition to your other major.

i dont think at Richmond it is

this is a quote, "Graduates of the Jepson School are awarded a bachelor of arts degree with a major in leadership studies."

it mentions that students often minor or double major in business...can u post a link to what you found...here is mine

anyone have any opinions on jepson?

I'm pretty sure, atleast when I was looking at Richmond, that advisor strongly reccomend that you have an outside major, to the point where very few actually go through the Jepson School of Leadership without a parallel study, either major or minor.

hmm really, ill check into that thanks

so what do u think about the program. How are job prospects? Are they better than a BA in Political Science for example? How does this program compare to other leadership programs around the world?
