Can anyone comment about Jewish life at GT? I see there is a Hillel, but there is not an actual Hillel building. It is very hard to get a feel for activities when the GT Hillel web site hasn't been updated in years.

As a Jewish student myself, I am probably the best to answer this question lol! I’ll talk about greek life first since I’m also in AEPi (Jewish Fraternity). AEPi is pretty strong regarding the social aspect of greek life while also having a very strong Jewish brotherhood. Sorority wise, there is no AEPhi (Jewish Sorority) but there are defiantly many jewish girls in every sorority. Regarding Hillel, AEPi does a lot with Hillel with some shabbat dinners occasionally and also attending Hillel event. Hillel also does bagel breaks during brunch time at least every 2 weeks at Georgia Tech and Shabbat dinners occasionally. If there are big holidays, like the ones coming up, they are busing students to the Emory Hillel since it is bigger for services/dinner. Though the Jewish population itself is not many, we are defiantly around. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I’m not Jewish, but I can tell you there definitely is a strong Jewish presence at Tech. I have a few Jewish friends, and I know Hillel and AEPi are both real active around campus. You should have no trouble fitting in here.
