do any jews go to rpi

and does rpi offer kosher food

plenty of jews.

Look up www.hillel.org and go to college search; if there is an active Hillel (Jewish activity center at college) with its own building (some just have a phone in the student union building), that means probably a lot of Jewish students. You should contact the Hillel at rpi directly with those questions.

In case you didn't find it already:

http://hillel.rpi.edu/

I'm Jewish (though not religious) and I attend RPI. There is hillel, as others have mentioned above (I decided not to go to it).

As for kosher food: it's definitely there. First off, there's a salad bar and all that good stuff. As for the rest of the food, it depends on how strict you are about it. For example, they have both plain and pepperoni pizzas. If you refuse to touch the plain pizza because it came in contact with the same oven/tools/etc as the pepperoni one, then I don't know how big of a task finding kosher food would be (I don't pay attention to whether they use the same oven/cutting utensil/etc across all pizzas). If you aren't as strict, you should have no problem at all.

Good luck.

According to a list posted on CC earlier this year approximately 12% of RPI students identified themselves as Jewish.

Can you give me an updated percentage for Jews as of 2008/2009 school year. i was just admitted under Early decision 2 and being Jewish I am curious? Thanks
