Does anyone know this? There's no info on the Hillel website. My d is too young for me to be looking into this stuff, so I'm not ready to call the local Hillel, but I am compiling information for when it's appropriate. If anyone has knowledge about this, I would appreciate it!

We know a young woman at Kenyon, whose dad recently told me there are roughly 100 Jewish kids at Kenyon. Although the community is small in size, it's vibrant. Hillel even has its own building.

I'm a freshman at Kenyon this year, and Kenyon seems to have plenty of Jewish people. Granted, I came to Kenyon from a place where there were basically no Jews, but even so. I have met a ton of Jews, and there always seems to be something going on with Hillel. Believe me, if you're Jewish, you won't feel lonely. 100 students out of 1700 is quite a large percentage.

PS: By the way, I love it here!

PPS: Most people at Kenyon aren't this incoherent. :)

trickdacy, what do you like about Kenyon?

Trickdacy,

Just wanted to say hi :D I'm going to be a freshman in the fall and am thrilled about it. It's good to see a Kenyon student on these boards. It's pretty rare.

Put me down as one of the rare ones.

bumpity bump

I would be fully shocked if there were only a hundred Jewish kids at Kenyon right now.

I am a senior. I visited Kenyon earlier this year. I didn’t meet THAT many people. About 7 of them were Jews and 3 had been to Israel.

My son is a freshman this year. Many of his friends at Kenyon are Jewish, many are not. He is not overly observant but Kenyon is a place where he feels comfortable. There is a Hillel and he has gone to a few events…Hannukah party high holiday dinner etc.
