<p>I know plenty of Eastern European Jews with blonde and brown hair...I'm Jewish, and have never indicated my race as anything else other than "white" or "caucasian."
Why? Two reasons: Firstly, religion does not equal race. Secondly, Hitler also viewed the Jews as a "race"--perpetuating that belief is self-destructive for Jews.</p>

<p>It doesn't matter for admissions purposes, but UNC has a brand new, $2m, Hillel. Not southern, but USC (not the one who just hired Steve Suppier) has an active interest in getting more Jewish students.</p>
