I was wondering whether or not JHU accepts credit for classes I took as dual credit while still in hs. I took Econ 2301 and Govt 2301 (if the course number matters, what it really is is Economics I and Government I), do they transfer?

I guess this question is geared more towards AdmissionsDaniel than the rest but anyone who can tell me would be of great help, thank you!

I took 2 classes in city college during high school and they transfered them, you have to speak to your advisor when you get on campus. It depends on where you took them and what the classes are.

i think for now, they do. however, they probably plan to stop doing this sometime in the future. some courses, especially requirements for your major, may not be transferable. if they are simple electives, then i think you'll be fine.

For students admitted and enrolling at Johns Hopkins University, we will consider offering credits for community college courses taken while in high school. Official transcripts must be submitted by the community college to the academic advising office at Hopkins, and the academic advisors will review the credits for transfer. Students entering Hopkins from high school may not transfer more than 12 course credits from other colleges or universities. In order to receive credit for courses, students must have earned a grade of C or above, in courses comparable in content to those offered at Hopkins. Only courses taken at an accredited college or university will be accepted. These credits will not apply until the end of the student's freshman year as we do not provide advance standing for freshman.

There is no specific maximum on AP credits. If you get the score, and we give the credit, then through the academic advising office you can get the credits.
