My essays focus on how I started computer programming in middle school and how this passions has led me to want to pursue a computer engineering degree.

Great Essays
Pretty Good Teacher RECS

Johns Hopkins Early Decision (Really want to go here, obviously)
Carnegie Mellon
UMD College Park
Georgetown

JHU Low Reach
CMU Reach
UMD Low match
Georgetown Reach

If you get your 2150, then you’ll have better chances. Your GPA is what’s holding you back.

That GPA’s hurting you a little, but it might balance out with the difficulty of your courseload.

JHU: Reach
CMU: Low reach
UMD: Low match
Georgetown: Reach

(assuming you get that 2150)

Illetasten~

Do you think JHU is a reach even though I am applying Early Decision?

Jhu Ed is around 40%… Some have said JHU ED is a high match/ low reach?

all reaches gpa isnt competitive enough but those jhu e.c.'s may give you a chance

Does JHU value ec’s alot?

There is a significant advantage if one was to apply Early Decision over Regular Decision to Johns Hopkins University. However, keep in mind that you should really aim to improve your GPA.

I think JHU would be a lower reach considering the advantages of ED, but still a reach

Not sure why people think JHU is a “low” reach with a 3.65 Weighted. It’s not low at all. Chances are rather slim, in fact.

I was being rather generous with the low reach.

get your uw gpa up to 3.6. If you really love one of these schools and plan to attend there if you get accepted, do early decision.
