Ok so to make it short and sweet, my GPA is standing at about a 3.5 unweighted and a 4.0 weighted.

Everything else is fine i guess. Here's a summer
Ethnicity: Middle Eastern (From Pakistan)

2180 SAT
750 Math SAT 2
750 Chem SAT 2

Extra classes taken or in progress (Summer 2010)
Anatomy and Microbiology thru BYU Distance Education
Pathophysiology and Intro to Clinical Medicine thru UCLA Extension
Also did Astronomy, just cuz i was interested in it....it has nothing to do with what I wanna do later on

And enrolled for (During Fall 2010)
Neurobiology thru Harvard Extension and Genetics thru UC Berkeley Extension
(Both of these classes are classes that one would take at the University, but they are also offered online)

Senior Year: 7 Classes. 6 AP's and ASB

IF i do well in these classes, and bring my GPA up, what are some thoughts on me getting into Hopkins if I do ED majoring in Cell Biology?

Also, what does the forecast look like for Berkeley or UCLA.

All the advice/feedback is very much appreciated

The GPA is too low for JHU, even in ED. I recommend RD since you’ll have more time that way to bring up your GPA. The SAT scores could be higher but I guess they’ll be fine as long as you present an all-round refined application.

P.S: Pakistanis aren’t considered Middle-Eastern lol.

But anyways, I thought applying ED would be beneficial because of the commitment. And does the GPA really drag down everything else ive done THAT much?

47% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
30% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
17% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
5% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
1% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

Someone with a 3.5, maybe even a 3.4, certainly has a chance. PrincetonDreams is just a typical CC’er where anything below a 4.0 is too low for community college.

Btw, I never said you never had a chance. All I said was that if you applied RD with your first semester Senior grades (if better) then your chances might improve. Everyone who applies has a chance, but do keep in mind that most applicants admitted at the 25th Percentile (GPA<3.5) are minorities, athletes or legacies (or more generally, applicants with hooks). I never meant to discourage you from applying, if I did, unintentionally however, I apologize.
